"Msgr. McCarthy Council is pleased
to recognize one of its members as Knight
of the Year. We take great pleasure in acknowledging
a brother knight who has made many wonderful
contributions, not only to the Knights of
Columbus, but to our community and our parishes.
First of all, Brother Nick George displays
the talents, energy and skills that make
him an important asset for our council. He
does not shy away from work. He is involved
as a volunteer in over 80% of the Council's
activities. The results can be seen by the
lives, organizations and community that he
has touched. He is a devout parishioner of
St. Patrick's Parish, very much involved
in Liturgy and Hospitality. He is a loving,
devoted son and brother, taking care of his
mother and sister. And as an member of our
council, his work, talents and advice have
been indispensable. We offer Congratulations
to Msgr. McCarthy Council's 2004-2005 Knight
of the Year, Brother Nick George." (Gerard
Butt, Deputy Grand Knight.)
