Monsignor McCarthy Council
The Carbonear Knights of Columbus Council was begun in 1966 and was named "Monsignor F.D. McCarthy Council", after Monsignor Felix D. McCarthy. He was the longest Parish Priest in Carbonear history as he devoted his services to St. Patrick's Parish for fifty-five years (1889-1944).
